PACKAGING SUPERVISOR
leadership experience required

Leading Smoking Goose’s packaging team requires an eye for consistency and quality as well as the ability to prioritize tasks, work effectively under deadlines, and lead by example with a positive spirit and determined work ethic. Engaging members of the Packaging Team to consistently reach high standards of quality within time limits is crucial.

Prior experience leading a team is required, and experience working in food production, food packaging, and/or distribution is preferred. Duties include portioning, packaging, and labeling of products. Some heavy lifting and the ability to work in a cold environment is required.

Regular working schedule includes daytime hours with evenings, weekends, and holidays off. Health insurance and retirement benefits are available with this full-time, hourly position.

SHIPPING COORDINATOR

This full-time position requires communicating effectively with our Packaging Staff, Sales Staff, and preferred carriers to efficiently coordinate outgoing pallets and packages across the country.

 The ideal candidate is a quick learner who enjoys solving puzzles with multiple moving parts. Working proactively to maximize efficiency and accuracy within deadlines is key. Excellent attention to detail is required. The ability work in a cold environment and do some heavy lifting is needed.

Previous experience in a similar position is preferred but not required. On-the-job training is provided.

SAUSAGE MAKER
training provided

Practice old-school, by-hand butchering skills as part of Smoking Goose’s Production Team in our USDA-inspected meatery. Now hiring for two different roles: Meat Cutter and Sausage Maker.

Meat Cutter: Duties include cutting meat by hand using traditional seam butchery techniques, as well as trimming out portions for specific recipes. Training is provided.

Sausage Maker: Duties include seasoning, grinding, and stuffing sausages using professional equipment. Training is provided.

Duties include washing the dishes and equipment we use to make sausages, salumi, and smoked meats. General cleaning and some light facility maintenance is also part of the job. This position plays a crucial part in our company's success.
